Day 1

Question 1
I have desired freedom from sin for the wrong reasons. One reason would be for my parents. Another reason would be for the potential wife that I would want to marry. Also, because pornography would waste my time. There is also the feeling of guilt. Not wanting to be addicted to pornography for such a long time. Not wanting to be a hypocrite.

Question 2
The Christian's motive for finding freedom from bondage to sin is for God's glory.

Question 3
Please Lord, please have mercy on me. Forgive me for trying to break free from sin for my on glory. For whatever I do, please, really, let it be for your own glory. Not because I want to have a better life here on Earth. I confess that I've been thinking about other reasons from getting away from sin other than for your glory alone. Help me to repent of the stupidness. Please have mercy. In Jesus' name, amen.

Question 4
The thing that enables us to be transformed is seeing the glory of God. (Look at God to be more like Christ.)

Question 5
I failed because I wasn't aiming for freedom for God's glory. I failed because I was trying to get freedom from sin for my own self.

Question 6
Sorta. But I realize by saying that, I'm still focusing on myself and not on the power of God to say me from sin. (So, God, please show your strength in my life. Be my hope and my motivation.) The hope is based on God.

Question 7
The glory of God is most clearly seen in Jesus Christ.

Question 8
The teaching today was about God's glory. That I shouldn't focus on myself and that I shouldn't seek to be free from sin because it's inconvenient for me. The change that will happen today is that I will remind myself, while fighting sin, that I'm doing this for God's glory. That I would look/behold Jesus Christ as the reason for getting away from sin. There is no other hope than the one found in Christ.

Question 9
(This will indeed be for God.) Please Lord let me do everything for your glory. Please, have mercy on my soul.

As for the first post

I feel sorry for the person who wanted "proelium.blogspot.com." Proelium means "battle" in Latin. And this blog will be a somewhat public, but anonymous, battle with sin. Just making an end of sin completely. I know that completely getting rid of sin doesn't happen in this life. Complete freedom from sin happens after death. And not just after death, but first by repenting of sin, and putting one's trust in Jesus Christ, and then when the individual dies, they will be completely free from sin.

I will be using the settingcaptivesfree.com Way to Purity Course for my posts. Every day is a new course, and I pray to God that I put these sins to death. To God be the glory. Battle against sin for His glory.
